| Clark County now boasts a population of 1.9 million with the Las Vegas Valley laying claim to 96% of the population. I have heard that only 3% of the people that live here are natives... Moving here at the age of three makes me "almost" a native. I have seen some amazing changes to this wonderfully diverse city. When I was growing up here, there was not a Green Valley nor a Summerlin - It was Henderson and North Las Vegas respectively. My, how we have grown up! The growth itself is amazing,with a reported 5 to 7 thousand people moving here every month! In 1954 Life Magazine stated on their front cover... " Las Vegas- Is The Boom Over Extended?" We all know the answer to that... No way! The U.S. census bureau has estimated that in the year 2035 our population will have reached a staggering 3.6 million people. The numbers don't lie... Las Vegas and it's surrounding valley is in the big leagues and we are here to stay. |
